Jobie is a leading job search, career website with substantial positions across the Asia Pacific. Jobie is Asia's preferred destination for job seekers. In this project, we will focus on the job search process to help new college grads.
Fresh graduate students are unable to find a proper job at the junior level.
An easy-looking display interface, user-friendly.
An easy process needed. We split the process into four main touchpoints:
Searching, Picking, Applying, Confirming
Our goal is to design interface for job applying process to help new college grads
We conducted an interview with our participants about the overall issues when applying for jobs online.
Participants: 5 participants, 2 males, 2 females, 1 nonbinary
Ages: 20 - 25 years old
Methodology: 10 minutes per participant, Bkk Thailand, remotely.

How often do you find potential jobs for new college grads with one search?
When applied to the company, how often do they reply back no matter they accept or not?
What are some difficulties you have when trying to select and apply?
What device did you use when applying for jobs? (Desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile)
Do you usually re-upload your resume or portfolio when applying for each jobs?

Lisa is a senior college student major in finance who needs full-time job at a big corporate because she want to build up her profile in resume.
It was observed that 2 out of 5 have trouble with the guiding system. This means that users have difficulties understanding the guideline for apply jobs
It was observed that 2 out of 5 have trouble in selecting a search result. This means that users have difficulties finding the right job for them.
It was observed that 3 out of 5 have trouble with minor issues (can’t find apply button,
not end the process perfectly, and confused in features). This means that users still have some difficulties in interface design.
(P0) Based on the theme that: users having trouble understand the guideline
An insight is: users need better guideline functions for applying for jobs.
(P1) Based on the theme that: users having trouble selecting a search result
An insight is: users need more detail in the job description and extra detail for the company.
(P2) Based on the theme that: users having some minor trouble in visual pleasing
An insight is: users need better interface design.
Round 1 findings will be more focused on the search and the selection. We found out that some participants have trouble selecting jobs because of too many jobs in visuals, too crowded
Round 2 findings will conduct more on applying and confirming. We found out that many participants wanted to access their profile, resume, and portfolio before applying and also wanted the confirmation message in the form of text to send to their email.
